Province, NSGEU Show Colours at Pride 2008

The government of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Government and General Employees Union (NSGEU) will show their colours and support at Halifax's 2008 Pride Week on Saturday, July 26, where they will partner on their first pride parade float.


Civil Servants Involved in Evacuation Excused From Work

Provincial government employees affected by fire evacuation this weekend and have difficulty coming to work Monday, June 16, are not required to show up for work.

Collective bargaining rights will be extended to seasonal and casual workers in the Nova Scotia civil service sooner under amendments to the Civil Service Collective Bargaining Act introduced today, Nov. 30, by Human Resources Minister Carolyn Bolivar-Getson.
