Summer Diversity Program

What this Program Offers

You will get full-time work in a Nova Scotia government department or agency in a field related to your education. Terms are usually four months.

What Jobs Are Available?

There is a diverse range of career-oriented summer employment available. Duties vary with the position.

Who Is Eligible?

Aboriginal students, students with disabilities, and other racially visible students who attend a high school, community college, or university are eligible for this program. Applicants must be full-time students who will be returning to full-time study in the fall. Graduating high-school students may also be eligible.

Salary and Location

Participants earn a base salary of $8.10 per hour. Departments provide additional salary based on the complexity and responsibility of the work opportunity.

How to Apply

Program positions for the summer are advertised from February to March each spring at campus employment centres, Access Nova Scotia Centres, and on the Nova Scotia Government Website. Check back each spring for new summer opportunities.
