Overview

Career Starts employment programs offer valuable assignments, projects, and skill development within the Nova Scotia government. If you are in high school, university, college, or a recognized trade school, or if you have recently graduated from a post secondary institution, we have the right program for you.

"There could not have been a much better way of easing recent graduates into their respective fields, other than being interns in their areas of interest/study. The program gave me the opportunity to work on issues in my field in a more practical approach rather than grapple with the abstraction of such issues in theory. It was also a rare access to the public services' experienced professionals, who were very willing to part with the knowledge they have acquired in the public service, thereby helping to ease and gradually integrate me into the public service and its values. The program for these reasons remains a rare gift from its inventors to the beneficiaries." Career Starts Logo
