HR Skills & Competencies

The HR skills and competencies required to be effective HR professionals within government have been identified. An HR Competency Framework has been developed. The framework includes competencies that are key to your success as an HR professional in government.

The HR Competency Framework includes three HR competencies, which apply to all HR professionals within government:

  • Client Orientation
  • Change Leadership
  • Effective Interactive Communication

For all MCP employees, the eight MCP leadership competencies common across government regardless of profession are also included as part of the HR competency Framework.

For the AS Group, the HR Competency Framework includes three leadership competencies:

  • Decisiveness
  • Relationship Building
  • Self-Confidence Courage of Conviction
