Premier's Award of Excellence

What is the Premier's Award of Excellence?

The Premier's Award of Excellence is the most prestigious award a Government of Nova Scotia employee or team can receive.

This highest form of honour recognizes outstanding on-the-job contributions of employees and teams of employees. To receive it is to know that your work made a difference to the people of Nova Scotia - an achievement of which you can be proud for a lifetime.

You will be personally thanked by the Premier and celebrated at a special, invitation-only lunch reception. Along with your award and framed certificate, your achievement will be posted on the website as inspiration to all.

Great work is being done every day in every part of the public service. If you know a public service employee or team that deserves recognition, shine a spotlight on their efforts and nominate them for this esteemed award. On awards day you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you helped your fellow employees get the recognition they deserve. (Who knows - it may be your great work getting rewarded!)

Awards are given out for achievement in areas such as:
