Our goal is to be a diverse workforce that is representative, at all levels, of the people of Nova Scotia.
Workforce Diversity encompasses "learning, creativity, flexibility, organizational and individual growth, and the ability of our Public Service to adjust
rapidly and successfully to societal changes. In order to have policies, programs and services that are relevant, responsive and culturally competent we
must have a diverse workforce at all levels of the Public Service.
The Public Service Commission, through the leadership of it's Diversity Management Unit, works collaboratively with Departments, Agencies, Boards and Commissions,
to attract, develop and retain skilled people that are representative of all our communities and to ensure we are an inclusive, culturally competent Public
Service that values diversity.
