Our Divisions

Employee Relations and Compensation Division

The Employee Relations and Compensation Division represents the interests of government as an employer with respect to its direct employees, including collective bargaining, compensation, classification and benefits and advising government on terms and conditions of employment for non-bargaining unit employees. The division also coordinates certain collective bargaining activities for government in the broader public sector.

The division consists of three sections:

  1. Benefits
  2. Compensation (Compensation & Classification)
  3. Staff Relations (Employee Relations, Collective Bargaining, Grievance Adjudication)

Strategic Human Resource Management Division

The Strategic Human Resource Management Division is the key division for recruiting, developing and retaining skilled and effective public servants through key human resource programs and services.

The division consists of two sections:

  1. Strategic Support Services (Attraction & Retention, Employee Health & Safety Promotion)
  2. Innovation and Growth (HR Planning & Succession Management, Organizational Development, Design & Effectiveness, HR Strategies for Professional Groups)

Planning & Coordination Division

The Planning & Coordination Division is responsible to provide consultative services for budget, business planning and accountability reporting; for HR policy development and implementation and FIOPOP administration; for the provision of records management services, HR information research and analysis; SAP HR system business transformation and support and the provision of centralized administrative support services.

The division consists of five sections:

  1. Planning & Coordination
  2. Information Management
  3. Policy Support
  4. SAP HR Business Transformation
  5. Administrative Support

Evaluation and Audit

The Evaluation and Audit business area provides senior management with professional advice to improve the design and delivery of, and compliance to, corporate human resource policies, practices, systems and programs. The group does this by conducting evaluations, audits and by undertaking special studies in areas of significance or risk. Work is carried out according to established standards.

The division consists of three function areas:

  1. Evaluation
  2. Audit
  3. Special Projects
