Judith Sullivan-Corney Deputy Minister
Judith Sullivan-Corney is Deputy Minister of the Office of Intergovernmental
Affairs (IGA), an office focused on the Province's relations with federal,
provincial, territorial and other governments. She is also Deputy Minister
of the Office of Aboriginal Affairs. She assumed her current role at
Intergovernmental Affairs in 2007 and has served as deputy minister at the
Office of Aboriginal Affairs since July 2002.
As Deputy Minister of IGA she ensures a consistent approach in the
province's relations with other governments, as well as providing a
corporate perspective in dealings with these governments. On the
federal-provincial front, she also leads IGA's efforts in promoting an
understanding in Ottawa of Nova Scotia's priorities, from its offices in
Halifax and Ottawa. The Province's Protocol Office also falls under her
leadership. It helps to set the scene for Nova Scotia's intergovernmental
strategy through managing logistics for government sponsored conferences,
meetings and official visits. It also provides protocol advice to both the
public and private sectors.
Ms. Sullivan-Corney has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education
degree from Saint Mary's University and a diploma in Adult Education from
