Opportunities for Youth

EN-Vision Program

En-Vision is a new program of the Nova Scotia Youth Conservation Corps. The NSYCC recognises that there are many young adults around the province who have developed or would like to develop ideas for projects that are aimed to improve the environment at the community level. The NSYCC will be providing support (both financial and other) to individuals and groups of youth aged 17-27 who submit a proposal to the Youth Corps under the new program. Successful applicants may be provided up to $5,000 to develop and or carry out a community-based environmental projects.

Criteria for Funding:

Application Process

Youth are asked to write a brief (maximum 3 page) proposal outlining his/her project. This will include a description of the project, as well as a timeline and a budget. Please explain why this project is important, and who will benefit from the project. As well, please identify which Nova Scotian community the project will take place in. If there are any other groups or individuals providing resources to the project, please attach a letter of support if possible.

Please note that this position is dependent on confirmation of NSYCC 2008/2009 program funding.
