Lake Rossignol Wilderness Area

painting by Alice ReedLake Rossignol Wilderness Area is a natural area on the northeastern shore of Lake Rossignol on the Mersey system just south of Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site.

The Wilderness Area represents both the LaHave Drumlins Natural Landscape and the Lake Rossignol Hills Natural Landscape, and contributes to the mosaic of protected lands in interior southwestern Nova Scotia along with Kejimkujik National Park, and the Tobeatic and Tidney River Wilderness Areas. The rolling hardwood hills and large interconnected lakes of Lake Rossignol Wilderness Area provide important wildlife habitat and offer peaceful recreational opportunities.
