Petite Bog Nature Reserve protects a representative example of the bogs of the low-lying Walton River Clay Plain natural landscape. It provides habitat for some rare sedges and grasses. Primarily bog, it also contains black spruce and red pine forest. Petite bog has been used for climate change research.
