Les Caps Nature Reserve protects 1,400 m of exposed coastal cliffs along the southwestern edge of Cheticamp Island, at Les Caps. It also includes the stunted white spruce forest running along the top of the cliffs. The site is internationally recognized as an Important Bird Area, with Great Cormorants, razorbills, and black-legged kittiwakes nesting on cliff ledges.
