Description

Quantex Technologies will bring sealed drums of waste materials such as body shop solvents into the drum storage compound where they will be stored and then shipped in trailer-load quantities to Ontario processing plants. No treatment of waste dangerous goods will take place at the facility.

Minister's Decision

On December 2, 2003, the Minister of Environment and Labour released a decision (PDF: 18k) concerning this review. The Minister has decided to approve the undertaking in accordance with Section 13(1)b of the Environmental Assessment Regulations, pursuant to Part IV of the Environment Act.

The undertaking has been approved subject to a number of Terms and Conditions of Approval (PDF: 15k). The proponent is required to obtain all other necessary approvals, permits or authorizations before commencing work on the undertaking.
