Focus Report under review.

Description

This is to advise that on October 16, 2009, CGC Inc., Fundy Gypsum submitted the Focus Report (PDF: 8.9mb) for the proposed Miller's Creek Mine Extension Project, Hants County for environmental assessment, in accordance with Part IV of the Environment Act.

The purpose of the proposed undertaking is to mine gypsum from a surface mine in Miller's Creek, Hants County. The mine life, including construction, operation and reclamation is anticipated to be in the order of 50 years.

Opportunities for Public Input

Public comments on the Focus Report will be accepted until November 23, 2009.

Comments received, including any personal information, will be made available to the public from the Nova Scotia Environment library, 5th floor, Halifax Office (5151 Terminal Rd.).
