Environmental Assessment Branch
Environmental assessment in Nova Scotia is lead by the Environmental Assessment Branch. The Environmental Assessment Branch promotes the protection and prudent use of the environment through reviewing proposed developments at the planning stage. It is legislated by Part IV of the Environment Act (1995) and the environmental assessment process is set out in the Environmental Assessment Regulations and the Environmental Assessment Board Regulations.
