Nova Scotia Environment consists of 5 main divisions:
- Communications
- Provides advice and manages communications with the public
- Environmental Monitoring & Compliance
- Responsible for the majority of field operations relating to environmental protection
- Environmental and Natural Areas Management
- Promotes sustainable management and protection of the environment and natural areas
- Information and Business Services
- Provides information and business management for the department
- Policy
- Provides policy planning and development for the department
