Telephone Directories

NSARM holdings for telephone directories can be determined from the Library Card Catalogue in the Archives Reading Room, listed under 'Telephone, N.S. - Directories'. We have a sampling of various annual listings published over the years by both the Nova Scotia Telephone Company and the Maritime Telegraph & Telephone Company (MTT), plus their subsidiaries. Our earliest telephone directory covers the whole province and dates from October 1888, but the majority of our holdings are from the 1930s onward.
