NSARM Online Library Catalogue — Updated and Improved
We've expanded BookWorm, the online version of our library catalogue — it now includes over 20,000 entries! We've also added separate electronic searches of our self-serve Genealogy / Reference Collection, plus parts of the Akins Collection and a selection of published maps. Plan your research from home — visit BookWorm and explore what the NSARM Library offers.

Nova Scotia Historical Vital Statistics Online
Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management is pleased to announce the launch of a new Website providing full access and digitized content for the province's historical vital statistics, dating back to 1864. Welcome to one million new opportunities in searching for your Nova Scotia roots!

Expanded Hours and Services
NSARM is pleased to announce that beginning on 24 May 2006, the Public Archives Building at 6016 University Avenue, Halifax, NS will be open Wednesday evenings until 9:00 p.m. For researchers able to visit in person, this boosts the number of open hours to a total of 52.5 per week. For those who work during the day or live outside Halifax, extended hours on Wednesday evenings provides more flexibility in planning a research visit.

Public Archives of Nova Scotia C@P Site
The Board of Trustees, Public Archives of Nova Scotia, sponsors a Community Access Program (C@P) Site, located in the lobby of the Archives Building. Check your email or surf the Net for new resources while you're at NSARM; or check out the C@P Site's Web Site, which includes specialized Resource Guides for genealogists, tourists and anyone interested in Nova Scotian and Canadian history.
