Archives Management is organized as follows:
- Government Archives
- Private Sector Archives
- Preservation Management
Areas of activity include:
- acquisition, appraisal, arrangement and description of archival records
- liaison with Records Management in the development of government records management systems
- administration of access to government records under the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act
- preservation management of archival holdings
- negotiation with prospective private donors
- monetary appraisals for income tax purposes
