Welcome
On behalf of Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management, I am pleased to present Eastern Eye: A Nova Scotia Filmography 1899-1973. This new research and reference tool for cultural historians, film researchers and the archival community in general is the result of a lengthy collaborative effort among various individuals, committees and organizations. Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management has been pleased to provide overall coordination for completion and publication of the project.
Eastern Eye is a fitting tribute to the pioneering efforts of Gordon Parsons to create a permanent record of film-making in Nova Scotia, and will be, I believe, an enduring testimonial to his determination and vision.
