Call for Applications for University Student Representatives

Maritime Provinces Higher Education

The Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission (MPHEC) wants interested Maritime university students to apply to become a member of an advisory committee.

"There are no pre-requisites to become a member," said Mireille Duguay, chief executive officer of the commission. "Applications are accepted from all university students in the Maritimes interested in shaping the region's post-secondary learning environment, now and for the future."

Members offer input on Maritime university education issues, such as program development and monitoring, and data and research.

The deadline for applications is Jan. 14, 2011. For more information, visit www.mphec.ca.

The Maritime Provinces Higher Education Commission was established in 1974 to help institutions and governments to enhance post-secondary learning. The commission's 20 members are drawn from the Maritime provinces and represent higher education institutions, provincial governments and the general public.
