Celebratory Mass to be Held in Sydney

Lt.-Gov. Mayann Francis is inviting Nova Scotians to join her in Sydney at a celebratory mass and blessing for the third anniversary of her installation as lieutenant governor of Nova Scotia.
"It's wonderful to be able to celebrate this special occasion with residents of Sydney," said Lt.-Gov. Francis. "I would like to thank all Nova Scotians for their tremendous support over the past three years."
The mass will be held Sunday, Sept. 6, at 2 p.m. at St. Philip's African Orthodox Church, 34 Hankard St., Sydney. A reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 128, Victoria Road, Whitney Pier.
