Website Provides Better Info Access

The Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission has revamped its website to provide better access to information on human rights.

The site includes a guide to the complaint process and fact sheets on what is protected under the Human Rights Act.

"It's an important tool to give the public better access to information about protections in the province's Human Rights Act and the role of the commission," said Maureen Shebib, acting executive director.

A link on the site provides answers to common questions about the commission and the human rights investigation process. Other links are to recent news releases and board of inquiry decisions. The site also provides access to the Human Rights Act and the commission's annual report.

website to give the public better access to information
