The Habitats program is responsible, in partnership with other governmental and non governmental agencies, industry, and the public, for the conservation and sustainable use of Nova Scotia's habitats and associated wildlife resources.
We monitor trends in provincial wildlife habitats, maintain an inventory of the province's significant wildlife habitats, recommend management actions to the appropriate agencies and support enforcement and development of guidelines and regulations.
