Nova Scotia Off-highway Vehicle Ministerial Advisory Committee
Mission:
To provide advice to the Minister of Natural Resources related to the use of off-highway vehicles.
Vision:
Off-highway vehicle users are socially and environmentally responsible. They have safe, enjoyable, riding opportunities established through mutual respect with all stakeholders.
Goals:
To support off-highway vehicle associations.
To support a province-wide network of safe and well managed off-highway vehicle trails and riding areas.
To ensure the provision of training and communication on off-highway vehicle usage related to health and safety programs, landowners rights, legislation, environmental impacts, trail management and where to ride.
To recommend changes to off-highway vehicle legislation and/or regulations as required.
To support the enforcement of off-highway vehicle legislation and regulations.
To advise government on the use of the Off-highway Vehicle Infrastructure Fund.
