  Dataset Overview: The attributes described here come from the d003nsdh.shp point shapefile. This shapefile contains drillhole locations and attributes associated with them that were collected as part of the indexing of drillholes that took place in MRB until 2001 when the program was ceased.

The entry is composed of a letter number code defined as follows; NTS quadrant, backslash, followed by the particular 1:50000 map and which section it further falls into. To determine which NTS quadrant the drillhole is in, consult the Geoscan Authority or use the 1:1000000 map of Nova Scotia. The 1:50000 maps are divided into four sections (A, B, C and D). eg. a drillhole collared in Halifax would have Cl Map = 11D/12D and a drillhole in Yarmouth would have Cl Map = 20O/16A.
