AbstractA regional stream sediment and water survey was carried out on northern mainland Nova Scotia and on Cape Breton Island between 1986-1987 with funding from the Geological Survey of Canada through the 1984-89 Canada - Nova Scotia mineral Development Agreement. Approximately 3300 stream sediment samples, including duplicates, were analyzed for: Ag, As, Ce, Co, Cr, Cs, Eu, Fe, Hf, Ir, La, Lu, Mo, Na, Sb, Sc, Se, Sm, Sn, Ta, Tb, Th, Ti, U, W, Yb, Zn, Au, Ba, Br, Cd, Ni, Rb, Tr and Zr in the coarse (-60 - +230) heavy mineral separate fraction, and Ag, Al, Au, Ba, Bi, Cd, Co, Cu, Fe, Li, Mn, Na, Ni, Rb, V, Zn, and K in the fine (-230) fraction. Stream waters were analyzed for uranium and fluorine. This digital product consists of a compilation of the results of this survey. This data set was previously included as part of a compilation of geochemical surveys and released as DP ME 004 Version 1. This data set previously consisted of st867fb1, st867hb1, and stw867b1, which were later renamed to c135nccf, c135ncch and c135nccw.
