Surveys Division
The Surveys Division is comprised of the following sections:
The Surveys Division is responsible for: providing coordination and leadership of the Department’s land surveying program; establishing, maintaining, and monitoring standards for land surveying activities on Crown land, as well as, for departmental survey equipment; administering orders of survey, boundary line maintenance contracts and the distribution of surveying and related information; preparing administrative survey plans and related cartographic documents; developing and managing the Crown land cadastral database; maintaining a registry of Crown lands for all departments and agencies; maintaining and researching records, maps, and title files for interests in Crown lands; and documenting non-resident land holdings.
