Public Consultation: Forest Sustainability Regulations

Nova Scotia Natural Resources is inviting public comment on proposed changes to the Forest Sustainability Regulations.

Nova Scotia’s Forest Sustainability Regulations are made under the Forests Act. The Regulations set out the requirements and technical standards for Registered Buyers.

The current Regulations were written in 2000, and amended in 2001 and 2004. The proposed regulatory amendments will implement a number of recommended revisions and NS Natural Resources invites your comments on these proposed changes.

Consultation period is from November 21, 2006 to December 19, 2006.

Written comments on the proposed amendments to the regulations are welcome on or before December 19, 2006 at 4:30pm.
