Plantation
This site, typical of many areas throughout Nova Scotia, was planted with
Red spruce in September of 1989. Planting took place after removing over
mature softwoods. This photograph was taken in October of 2001. Over the
next 20 years, this stand of trees may be thinned out in order to allow
room for the remaining trees to grow, increasing the potential yield of
the site.
