Porcupine Den
This large White Pine has hosted a
variety of wildlife over the years, including a porcupine. The porcupine
had a den at the base of the tree and often fed on the green bark near the
top of the tree. In the process of removing the bark for food, the porcupine
unwittingly killed the old tree.
