Old Test Pit
This shallow depression, often filled with water,
is all that remains of a test pit that was dug in the early 1900's.
During that period, a limestone
quarry was situated about a kilometer northwest of this site and several
test pits were dug throughout the area, in order to determine the size
of the limestone deposit.
