2008 Christmas Festival of Trees and Crafts

The annual Christmas Festival of Trees and Crafts is set to shine on December 5th, 6th, 7th in Middle Musquodoboit. This year we will showcase decorated balsam fir Christmas trees and a craft show with over 60 quality crafters.

 

LED Holiday Light Exchange Program

The Natural Resources Education Centre and Christmas Festival of Trees is pleased to be part of the LED Holiday Light Exchange Program, sponsored by Conserve Nova Scotia and Nova Scotia Power. LED lights use 95% less energy, last 10 times longer, are durable, and produce little heat, so they are great for both us and the environment!

Organizations participating in the Festival of Trees and local residents can bring two sets of their old incandescent lights to be exchanged for one set of energy efficient LED holiday lights( 2 sets of old lights for one set of LED, One set of lights per person max). There are a limited number of lights to exchange, so be sure to drop by to the Natural Resources Education Centre on Fri., Dec. 5 from 6 pm to 9 pm to exchange your old lights for new ones.

You are invited to attend the lighting ceremony of the large balsam fir Christmas tree adorned with LED lights and ornaments, taking place in the Atrium of the Musquodoboit Valley Education Centre (MVEC) on Fri., Dec. 5 at 6 pm in conjunction with the opening of the Christmas Festival of Trees and Crafts.
