Who is eligible?

To apply for the Antlerless Deer Draw, applicants must:

Be residents of Nova Scotia

Be eligible to hold a 2009 Deer Hunting Licence

Be 16 years of age or over (on or before the end of deer hunting season)

Hold a Nova Scotia Wildlife Resources Card at time of application

Not have suspended hunting privileges

How to Apply for the Antlerless Deer Draw:

Call 1-900-565-3337 or apply online at https://www.hmcgroup.ca/deerdraw. Applications will be accepted 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, from July 18th to September 4th, 2009.


Step 1. Before You Apply

• Direct any inquiries about the Antlerless Deer Draw to your local Department of Natural Resources Office
• Have your Wildlife Resources Card in hand
• Choose a Deer Management Zone in which to hunt.

Note: Check the 2009 Hunting and Furharvesting Licence and Summary of Regulations booklet or online at http://www.gov.ns.ca/natr/hunt/regulations for availability of Antlerless Bonus Stamps in Zone 2A.

Step 2: Application Line

Apply by phone or online. You will be charged an application fee of $6.29 plus HST. You may apply only once.

Step 3: Antlerless Deer Draw

A computerized random draw will occur on Saturday, September 5th, 2009 for the number of available licences from applicants who applied for each Deer Management Zone
Step 4: Draw Results

Winners will be notified by mail. Applicants can also check their individual draw results:
• Online at http://www.gov.ns.ca/natr/draws/deerdraw/ beginning September 8th by noon.
• By calling the toll free Draw Results Phone Line:
1-877-535-1234 or 493-1412
• Phone results available from September 12-18, 2009.
