Ragged Reef Point


Ragged Reef Point

This is a bedrock terrace or wave-cut platform that formed during a higher sea-level than present. Waves planed these rocks (Carboniferous shale and siltstone) into a flat surface which represents the former sea level. Notice the elevation difference between this terrace and the one at Squally Point.
