Tutorial

The Lessons provide guidance in using ArcView to answer typical questions that Department staff may be interested in such as importing data from a variety of sources to calculating volume of specific areas. The lessons assume access to the Forestry GIS database. Users should be aware that not all of the attributes are publicly available.

The How-to's were developed to answer specific staff questions that may be of interest to other staff members. This section will continue to be maintained as more questions are fielded from Department staff.

The original intent was to provide a set of lessons for Department staff to familiarize themselves with both ArcView and the Forestry GIS database. These lessons and how-to's are being provided on an 'as-is, where-is' basis and the Department will not provide any support nor make any changes/corrections.
