• School presentations by DNR staff to elementary schools in selected areas
• Select radio stations across the province will feature Tree Trivia contests with prizes provided by DNR
• Launch of “Ask Me If I’m a Tree” Video - Teacher Sign-up page (This video is suitable for Grades 3 to 6, or children aged 7 to 11)
September 26
• Central Woodlot Owner of the Year field day. Award presented to George and Phylis Cook, with son Steven, and Grandson Chris.
Events following National Forest Week
October 3
• Provincial Woodlot Owner of the Year and Lunenburg County Christmas Tree Producers Association Fall Trade Show. Provincial Award will be presented to Rex Vienot and family
