September 17
• Kids in the Forest Event held in North River Station, Pictou Co.

September 18
• Central Woodlot Owner of the Year Field Day held in North River Station. Award to be presented to George Post and Family.
• Lunenburg County Christmas Tree Producers Association Fall Trade Show and Field Tour at the Forest Heights School, Chester Grant, Lunenburg Co.

Events during National Forest Week

September 20 & 21
• School presentations by Department of Natural Resources staff to elementary schools in selected areas.
Tree Trivia contest on select radio stations.

September 22
• School presentations by Department of Natural Resources staff to elementary schools in selected areas.
• Kids in the forest program, presented by Department of Natural Resources.
Tree Trivia contest on select radio stations.

September 23
• School presentations by Department of Natural Resources staff to elementary schools in selected areas.

September 24

• Kids in the Forest event held in North Range, Digby Co.

• Western Woodlot Owner of the Year Field Day to be held in North Range, Digby Co. Award will be presented to Dave and Sheila Thomas.

October 1
Kids in the Forest Event to be held in North Lochaber, Antigonish Co.


October 2
• Eastern and Provincial Woodlot Owner of the Year Field day to be held in North Lochaber. The Provincial Award will be presented to Jim and Donna Webber.


October 4
Ask Me if I am A Tree, children's comedy skit by Jim Daling, at select schools.


October 5
