From Halifax/Dartmouth
Hwy 102 - Option 1
- Take Hwy 102 and turn off at exit 5A (Old Guysborough Rd, just before airport). Turn right for 1.1 km.
- Turn left on to route 212 east for 0.2 km.
- Turn right on 212 east (Old Guysborough Rd) for 29.2 km until you reach a stop sign.
- Turn left on route 357 North for 11.5 km to Middle Musquodoboit.
- Continue on Route 224 past the Esso garage and go for 1.2 km.
- The NREC is on the hill on the left attached to the Elementary School (please take second driveway)
Hwy 102 - Option 2
- Take Hwy 102 until exit 8 at Elmsdale (where shopping centre is).
- Turn right onto highway 214 and go through 2 sets of lights where highway 214 changes to highway 277.
- Follow highway 277 for 15.4 km where it changes to highway 224 (before it changes you will notice a large gypsum mine on the left) and continue on the 224 for approximately 20 km into the town of Middle Musquodoboit and a stop sign.
- Turn left, go past the Esso Garage, and go 1.2 km.
- The NREC is on the hill to your left attached to the Elementary School (please take second driveway)
Hwy 107 - Option 3
- Take Highway 107 to stop sign at Musquodoboit Harbour.
- Turn right onto highway 7 and proceed to highway 357 just past the Train Museum.
- Turn left on highway 357 North continue to Middle Musquodoboit.
- Continue on Route 224 past the Esso garage and go for 1.2 km.
- The NREC is on the hill to your left attached to the Elementary School (please take second driveway)
From New Glasgow
- On Hwy 104 west take exit 20 and go 4.3 km where route changes to 289 East.
- Go for 31.6 km.
- Turn left on Rt 336 South and for 6.5 km.
- Continue left on Rt 336 South for another 14.7 km.
- At Junction 336, take Rt 224 West for 17.8 km to Middle Musquodoboit.
- The NREC is on the hill on to the right attached to the Elementary School before you enter the village.
From Truro
- Take Highway 2 south for 17.4 km.
- Turn left at Alton for 20.6 km.
- Turn left on to route 224 east for 5.8 km.
- Turn right at flashing light (yield sign) for 0.3 km.
- Turn left and go 1.2 km.
- The NREC is on the hill on the left attached to the Elementary School (please take second driveway)
