The Occupational Health and Safety Appeal Panel Office (OHSAPO) provides the administrative support for, and coordinates the actions of, an independent appeal process of orders or decisions made by the Director of the Occupational Health and Safety Division.
Occupational Health and Safety Appeal Panel, established in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, adjudicates disputes relating to the technical aspects of health and safety, as well as the protection of individual employees from employer or union reprisals when employees discharge their responsibilities under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
