This Bill requires the Minister of Finance to report semi-annually to the House of Assembly on any special warrants issued in the preceding six months.

1 Section 29 of Chapter 365 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Provincial Finance Act, is amended by adding immediately after subsection (3) the following subsection:

(4) The Minister shall, on a semi-annual basis, prepare reports setting out any special warrants that have been issued in the preceding six months pursuant to this Section and shall, on or before the first day of April and the first day of October in each year, table the most recent report in the Assembly if the Assembly is then sitting or, if the Assembly is not then sitting, file the report with the Clerk of the Assembly.
