Explanatory Note

This Bill prohibits the retroactive charging of increased fees for services and prohibits agreements permitting retroactive charging of increased fees.

An Act to Amend Chapter 92
of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the
Consumer Protection Act, to Prohibit
the Retroactive Charging of Fees
for Services at an Increased Rate

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Chapter 92 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Consumer Protection Act, is amended by adding immediately after Section 26 the following Section:
