This Bill authorizes the use of the 1999 provincial election voters list for the 2000 municipal election.

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 Section 30 of Chapter 300 of the Revised Statutes, 1989, the Municipal Elections Act, is amended by adding immediately after subsection (1) the following subsection:

(1A) Notwithstanding subsection (1), the council may, by resolution, provide that the returning officer use for the regular election in 2000 the list of electors used in the provincial election held on the twenty-seventh day of July, 1999.
