An Act to Authorize

the Town of Yarmouth to Make a Grant

to the Yarmouth County Historical Society

Be it enacted by the Governor and Assembly as follows:

1 This Act may be cited as the Yarmouth County Historical Society Financial Assistance Act.

2 Notwithstanding any other enactment, the Town of Yarmouth may make a grant to the Yarmouth County Historical Society of a sum not exceeding one hundred and fifty thousand dollars payable in five equal instalments and each instalment is to be paid during each of five consecutive municipal fiscal years commencing on April 1, 1996.

3 All sums required for payments authorized by Section 2 shall be held to be sums required for ordinary lawful purposes of the Town of Yarmouth and shall be raised, levied and collected in the same manner and in all respects as other sums required for the ordinary lawful purposes of the Town are raised, levied and collected.

4 Section 54 of the Towns Act does not apply to this Act.
