Who We Are

The Workers' Advisers Program is a legal clinic that is funded by the provincial government offering services to injured workers. 

Our purpose is to provide legal assistance when an injured worker has been denied Workers' Compensation Board benefits.  In order to assist you to file an appeal, we have provided the following links:

If you have a decision from the Workers' Compensation Board, other than a Hearing Officer decision (WCB);

If you have a decision from the Workers Compensation Board Hearing Officer, (WCAT);

If you have a decision from the Workers' Compensation Appeals Tribunal (COA);

Our advisers and support staff are dedicated to providing injured workers with the best legal advice, assistance and representation available in the area of Workers' Compensation law.

Not every injured worker is eligible for our Program. If you contact us, our Intake Clerk will begin the process we use to decide if you are eligible for free legal services. It takes only a phone call.

Legal assistance is provided at no cost to you. Your appointed workers' adviser is paid by the provincial government.

What We Do

If you are eligible for services, you will become a client of the program.

As your Advisers, we will:

• review your file from the Workers' Compensation Board
• talk to you about your file
• keep in touch
• answer questions and explain the process as it applies to you

In addition, we may:

• get more evidence, if necessary
• represent you at all levels of your Workers' Compensation appeal
