Appointment of Arbitrators
Disputes between the parties to a collective agreement may result in the need to appoint an arbitrator. When the parties are unable to agree on an arbitrator to hear the case, either party can apply to the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education to appoint an arbitrator from a list maintained by the Department. The Labour Services Division provides the administrative support for making these appointments.
