Background:
The Apprenticeship and Trades Qualifications Act and General Regulations were proclaimed on July 1, 2003. Subsequently, all existing trade regulations need to be reviewed to ensure they meet the needs of industry under the current Act. The Board established an ad hoc advisory committee to review the existing trade regulations, propose any amendments and to make a recommendation to the Board for this trade. The Plumber AHAC was struck to conduct the review in April 2004.
