Ironworker
Background:
As a result of the Apprenticeship and Trades Qualifications Act and General Regulations being proclaimed on July 1, 2003, the existing regulations for the Ironworker trade were reviewed to ensure they met the needs of industry under the current Act. The Board established an ad hoc advisory committee in June 2007 to review the current trade regulations and propose any amendments, specifically the inclusion of the two new Red Seal designated trades of Ironworker (Structural/Ornamental) and Ironworker (Reinforcing) to the Apprenticeship Board.
