The 14th Apprenticeship Celebration Event was held on Saturday, May 30th, 2009 at the Digby Pines Resort in Digby, NS. Approx 135 individuals attended, including 27 newly certified journeypersons.  This event was one of the most highly sponsored Apprenticeship Celebration Events to date.

Following that, Brenda Daniels, who was the first female apprentice to receive a Red Seal in plumbing in 1993, called upon Christopher Baltzer to come forward as the guest speaker of the event. Christopher completed his Construction Electrician certification in four years, which was a promise he made to himself the first day he started his apprenticeship journey.
