About The Apprenticeship Board

The Nova Scotia Apprenticeship Board is the voice of industry to the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education. The primary role of the board is to consult with industry on apprenticeship matters and to make recommendations to the Minister. In particular, the Board reviews current trade regulations and recommends proposed trades for designation and compulsory certification.

The Apprenticeship Board is also active in the community hosting biannual Apprenticeship Celebration Events, Employer Breakfasts and other events in order to help promote and celebrate apprenticeship throughout Nova Scotia.
