This tool can be used to plan programs as well as provide benchmark statistics against which progress can be measured. Community Counts for Crime Prevention and Reduction offers the most up-to-date crime statistics for Nova Scotia and will aid communities in painting a portrait of their local area. The development of Community Counts for Crime Prevention and Reduction was made possible through financial support from the National Crime Prevention Centre.

  1. Click on “View the Crime Prevention and Reduction Profiles”.
  2. Select a geographic level (either 'Justice Centre' or 'Justice Police District').
  3. Select a geography (a specific Justice Centre or Justice Police District, depending in what you have selected in step 2).
